Black elderberry is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world and has been proven to be effective against virus- and bacteria-induced respiratory tract infections. Additionally, black elderberry polyphenols are effective in boosting the Akkermansia spp. levels, beneficial to human microbiota. ElderCraft®, which contains 14% standardized anthocyanins, is manufactured from Austrian black elderberries (Sambucus nigra L.) using exclusive Iprona Polyphenol Technology (IPT) that retains the original taste, aroma, and nutritional properties of the entire fruit matrix.
